22 Mbps Wireless Access Point Firmware Update |
Note: It is critical that the AP is assigned an IP Address before you try to update the software and firmware. Since the update process uses TFTP, a valid network IP Address will be required. A static IP address is NOT required, but the device should have at least attained a DHCP address. If you load the new utility without updating the firmware, you may be prompted to update the firmware. However, should this occur, you must have a working and valid IP address on the AP. If you load the new firmware without updating the utility, you will not be able to access the AP.
- Print these instructions.
- Download the USR_ap_50g_nml.bin file located at the bottom of the page.
- It is strongly recommended that you write down your settings for your device before upgrading. Once the upgrade is complete, the device will be set to manufacturers default.
- If you have updated the AP Utility and scanned your network for available APs, you may be prompted to update your AP if the new utility detects old firmware. If so, select Browse to locate the latest firmware file and update accordingly.
- If you are using the old version of the AP Utility, Log into the AP, select the Tools page, and select Browse to locate the new firmware file, USR_ap_50g_nml.bin. Once located, click Update.
